Insurance help where and when you need it most
Our Community Assistance Mobile Pavilion – also known as CAMP – is a national program that helps people who are suddenly forced to cope with a damaging event such as a flood, wildfire, torrential rains or other severe weather disaster. Here’s how it works:
Following a major severe weather event, CAMP may be set up at local emergency shelters and community centres where people are gathered.
CAMP is staffed with trained insurance industry personnel who are there to help you navigate general home, business or vehicle insurance questions.
If an on-site CAMP deployment isn’t possible, IBC representatives work with local officials and insurers to communicate timely insurance information. IBC also sets up virtual CAMP when on-site deployment isn’t possible.
For information regarding your particular insurance policy, contact your insurance representative.
In addition to CAMP, insurance professionals staff IBC’s Consumer Information Centre at 1-844-2ASK-IBC (1-844-227-5422) to help address questions after a disaster.
