Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements for the HCAI system and related products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the HCAI system and related products

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to identify business requirements, challenges, and opportunities related to HCAI products and processes

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements, data, processes, and systems to identify improvement areas and develop recommendations

  • Develop documentation and maintain comprehensive business requirements and functional specifications for HCAI products and services

  • Research feasibility and evaluate system changes for business impact

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HCAI products and services

  • Lead review sessions of key business deliverables to ensure that technology solutions meet the identified business needs

  • Gather and analyze metrics related to the ongoing operation to proactively advise of possible impacts, opportunities and risks

  • Lead development and maintenance of operational framework documentation

  • Prepare and review educational training materials to ensure that they are streamlined, clear and concise

Skills

  • Strong business analysis skills, ability to understand the end-to-end business processes for Information Technology products

  • Superb written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite including Visio and JIRA

  • Business process modeling methods and tools

  • Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a multi-disciplinary team-oriented environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent priorities

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Certificates, diplomas, formal Education

  • University/College education

  • Years of work experience

  • Minimum 5 - 8 years in business analysis for Information Technology products

  • Working knowledge of insurance industry is an asset

  • Relevant certification is an asset (e.g. CBAP, PMBOK)
