Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) welcomes Klaus Wilkens, President and CEO, Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Wilkens has been with Munich Re for nearly 30 years. He joined the company in 1995 as an underwriter in casualty facultative. In 2000, he joined Munich Re of Africa and later returned to Munich as the Senior Underwriter for customized reinsurance solutions. Mr. Wilkens was appointed to the role of Client Management Executive in 2008, leading the Client Management Team for non-life reinsurance business in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries. Mr. Wilkens is an internationally experienced leader with decades of experience in leadership as well as in underwriting and client management. Throughout the course of his career, he has developed an impressive track record of building strong, sustainable relationships with clients and brokers.
